Emily Callan is the 5-8 Music Teacher and Performing Arts Coordinator at GEMS. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. Ms. Callan taught in Seattle, Washington and Zhengzhou, China before joining the GEMS family. Committed to living a holistic and balanced lifestyle, she explores a wide range of interests outside of school, both related and unrelated to music. Whether she's staying active through exercise, dancing salsa/bachata/cumbia, or diving into a good book, she believes in the importance of nurturing both body and mind. Her diverse set of interests and passion for arts education helps her create a dynamic and engaging learning environment for her students.
