About Tuition & Fees
GEMS World Academy Chicago provides your children with materials and experiences that enrich and enhance the education experience, including access to technology, Field Studies (including transportation), Middle School team building trips, lab fees, and iPads for students in the Lower School. Devices for grades 6 and up are not included in our tuition. School supplies (pens, pencils, notebooks, binders), books, lunch, and uniforms are not included in tuition. Note: New families pay a one-time fee of $1,000 per student upon enrolling.
Siblings of students who are enrolled and in good standing at GEMS World Academy Chicago are eligible for a sibling discount.
Occasionally, families have to withdraw a child from school before the end of the school year. This guide outlines some tuition insurance options that might be available under those circumstances. (Note: Tuition refund insurance is mandatory with some payment plans.)
Financial Assistance & Scholarships
- Financial Assistance: We are pleased to offer financial assistance based on demonstrated need. We take a holistic approach to assistance based on the submission of a FAST application and encourage all interested families to apply, as no two situations are alike. Families seeking to enroll for the 2024–2025 school year should use the FAST application. Financial awards will only be determined once a student has completed the application process and has been accepted to GEMS Chicago. All admissions decisions are made blindly.
