Peg Keiner, the director of innovation at GEMS World Academy Chicago, has been named a 2019 Apple Distinguished Educator.
Apple created the ADE program in 1994 to honor those educators who use technology in innovative ways to transform learning.
"It is an honor to be selected as a 2019 Apple Distinguished Educator," Ms. Keiner said. "I am ecstatic to join this 25-year-old program and collaborate with ADEs globally on innovative projects that will impact our GEMS students."
The ADE program has grown into a worldwide community of more than 2,800 visionary and innovative leaders in education who are helping other educators rethink what’s possible with tools like iPad and Mac. Learn more about the contributions of ADEs worldwide here .
