GEMS 2023 graduate, Ivy Chan, was named as a Commended Student in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program. The 34,000 Commended Students represent the top 3% of scorers among the more than 3.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test last October.

Ivy’s achievement reflects her impressive academic talents, which she will expand next fall at the University of Chicago where she plans to major in finance and data science.
